Great Place. Big, convenient location on the North Causeway in New Smyrna Beach. Tavern food done to perfection. Best wings I have ever had in Florida. Same for the sweet potato fries. Huge menu from Burgers to oysters on the half shell. A wide variety of fish and fowl too. My lady liked the giant margarita so much she had two! Four different people waited on us, and they were all very professional, full of information, welcoming and fun. The only name I got was Sarah who took the order, answered our questions and made us glad we came to Merks Can't wait to go back and be faced with all the possibilities. Great place to watch any game. Big screen TVs at reasonable volume and background music on the sound system. And.....drumroll...reasonable prices! Not to be missed in New Smyrna Beach

Just a good local spot. This is a great place to just grab a beer, possibly some food, and why not grab a table and play some pool. The service is prompt and friendly. The ambience is bartastic which is a word I just made up. We typically order the wings, steak quesadillas, and salad. Haven't loved all the food but found a few staples that we enjoy. The beer is cold and not overpriced which is sometimes all the doctor ordered.

Went here for lunch today - noticed that they had a Philly Cheesesteak that was on Diners Drive-ins and Dives so I had to try it and I was not disappointed!! I have had plenty of cheesesteaks in my life and this was my favorite for sure!! My husband got their wings and said they were great!! Our waitress was soooo sweet and attentive!! Definitely will be back!!

This place seems unassuming, but is always busy at lunch and dinner time. We completely overlooked and skipped it over the last 3-4 years, but we stopped last week for lunch! YUM!!! The wings are amazing. We tried the Frankenstein sauce and prepared the way our waitresses suggested. The cooking process of the wings was absolutely perfect and they were the best cooked wings I've ever had. It was a process of frying, dunking in sauce, grilling, sauce again and maybe more. Excellent! Other than sharing those as an app, I got a dozen steamed oysters. They were clean, fresh, and already shucked for me! They were served with butter, horseradish, cocktail, and lemon. All delicious! My company enjoyed their food items too. Our waitress was helpful and friendly, but once the place got busy around 11:30-noon, she was overwhelmed. The place gets packed, but great food options. They have a big bar, pool tables, and outside space.

Yummy, it's been a while, but these Cuban nachos were so good! Can't wait to go back for the wings!

Merks is a great place for beer & bar food - and we did it up right! We started with summer chips - crisply potato chips smothered in good stuff. We also decided to try the southern nachos - named to honor the pulled pork. We finished up with wings. It was all so good! Service was prompt, we were sitting outside which worked great.

This is a favorite in town. We love their wings and the Frankenstein sauce (their sauces mixed together for a peppery-tangy delight). They used to also serve an appetizer sampler but it's since left the menu. We really like their quesadilla rolls, fried pickles, eggs rolls, and nachos. The service is great and they have a well-stocked bar. One visit we had a young child with our group and they brought out a kid tablet for her to use at the table. That was thoughtful and kept the kid occupied while the adults hung out. Parking is usually not a problem. The lot is large in front of the restaurant. If we can't find a parking spot, it's usually full inside as well, so we get a to-go order instead.
